After three seasons, City on a Hill will be cancelled by Showtime.

Jackie Rohr and DeCourcy Ward are no longer assisting with the probe.

People has confirmed that the Showtime series City on a Hill will not be renewed for a fourth season. Earlier this month, the third and last season of the crime drama aired, marking the end of the show.

Showtime has released a statement thanking the cast and crew, including Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge, for their work over the past three seasons.

Showtime stated that after the conclusion of the third season of the critically acclaimed drama City On A Hill, the series would no longer air on the network. “We had a great time working with Kevin Bacon, Aldis Hodge, and the rest of the cast and crew on this show, which is run by Tom Fontana and features additional executive producers including Jennifer Todd and Jorge Zamacona. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has helped us along the way.”

Some background on Hodge’s character and Bacon’s was revealed in 2021.
According to Hodge, Jackie and Decourcy’s relationship has been fraught with both familiarity and direct confrontation ever since the day they met. “Jackie is Decourcy’s beacon of hope in the shadowy realm of Boston’s underbelly.”
Continuing, he said “During the first season, he expressed interest in learning from Jackie and requested that she serve in this capacity. Then you guys are the ones with the reins in your hands… He’s cognizant of the potential hurricane that Jackie may develop into.”

Tom Fontana, who ran the show, was an executive producer on the tv series City On A Hill together with Jennifer Todd, Jorge Zamacona, Kevin Bacon, Aldis Hodge, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Barry Levinson.
